  • James Bockelman

    James Bockelman earned a Master of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1997. He is a professor of art at Concordia University Nebraska, where he also serves as curator for the Marxhausen Gallery of Art.

    The artwork of James Bockelman has been represented by Lo River Arts Gallery in Beacon, New York, and currently the Circuitous Succession Gallery in Memphis, Tennessee and Galerie Inga Kondeyne in Berlin, Germany. In addition to many regional and national group shows, Bockelman’s art was featured in solo exhibitions at the Sheldon Museum of Art in Lincoln, the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney, The University of Nebraska Omaha, and the Kunstoffice in Berlin, Germany. A recipient of Nebraska Arts Fellowship Awards in 2007 and 2015, his paintings were recently presented at Stockholm’s Auktionsverk in Hamburg, Germany, Festival du Dessin in Arles, France, and the Milchhof Pavillon, Berlin.

    As a freelance graphic designer, Bockelman has completed projects with nopio design firm, based in Krakow, Poland.

  • Dan and Christie Hampton

    As a married couple for 15 years, Dan and Christie Hampton have worked together in churches and schools; both earned their degrees from Concordia University, Nebraska in 2009. They have an eleven-year-old son, William and a nine-year-old daughter, Abbie.

    Christie earned her Bachelor of Science in art education and Bachelor of Art in mathematics and enjoys rebranding for businesses, churches, schools and camps. She works as a communication specialist at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. During her free time, she continues her work as a project manager for Hampton Designs while creating visible ways to share your story.

    Dan earned his Master of Science in family ministry and his Bachelor of Arts in theology, youth and family ministry. He is a Concordia Seminary, St. Louis student working toward his Master of Divinity. Dan implements brands with Hampton Designs and enjoys serving at New Beginnings Lutheran Church and Christian Friends of New Americans.

  • Sarah Petersen

    As a wife and mom of four kids, Sarah’s days overflow with tasks like laundry, dishes, and the beautiful chaos of family life, all while leaning on Jesus’ grace.

    In addition, she enjoys teaching art to kindergarten through eighth grade students at St. Paul's Lutheran School. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in middle-level education with concentrations in art and science at Concordia University Nebraska in 2008.

    Her creative pursuits include freelance and continued education in graphic design, crafting logos and social media content, styling her home’s interior, and planning memorable events. Each day is a fresh canvas for her creative spirit!
